Abyssal is a software engineering company with more than 7 years of experience in developing and implementing proprietary software solutions for the offshore industry. The company provides several software and hardware solutions for the different phases of an offshore capital project. Abyssal´s global reach and remote nature allow the company to better serve its customers at any location in the globe.
Management Team
Manuel has over 16 years of software development experience. Founder, CTO, and inventor holding several patents in augmented reality. His area of expertise includes knowledge in 3D visualization, GIS, Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning.
MSc in Economics, MBA. Rafael has over 12 years of experience in managing complex projects and teams. Prior to founding Abyssal, he was responsible for developing, analyzing and raising capital for several investment projects in different institutions and industries.
MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering, MBA. João has several years of experience in multinational companies and startups, developing and leading cross-functional teams. Previous experience as Managing Director of Groupon’s Sales and Operations in Brazil.
MSc in Informatics and Computing Engineering, MBA. Luís has over 12 years of experience working in complex international IT implementation programs, bridging the gap between industry and technology, while managing projects and stakeholders.
MSc in Informatics and Computing Engineering. Machine Learning and Computer Vision researcher and author with several publications in the field. Prior to joining Abyssal, Pedro was a researcher at the Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) and at the University of Porto.
